Well, here we are Day 8 of this brand New Year.
There must be something about the 8th day, the last time I posted it was the 8th day of December.
Hmmmm, interesting?
Yes, eight days in and I still don't have a WORD or a THEME or A LIST...
and believe me the gremlins are just lovin' that!!!!!!!
Oh yes, they've been nattering on quite incessantly these past few days...

weren't you going to do all that by the end of last week!!!"

"What still NO WORD! NO THEME! NO LEAPING!!!!!"
"Tick~tock. Tick~tock. Tick~tock."

Lucky for me Day 8 coincided with a timely Love Thursday post by the ever~inspiring Jen Lemen entitled Making Peace with a Noisy Gremlin ;-) It comes with a virtual big hug, a healthy dose of hope and suggestions for those of us looking for a little bit of quiet from the nattering!
Tonight, I'm giving this suggestion a try::
Promise yourself you will sit in your chair and make something, no matter how ugly or imperfect or strange or far from your far flung dreams.
It's true, I may not have a word, or a theme or list...
but I've got card stock and an alphabet of letters THAT SPARKLE.
Tonight, I'm going to make something and mail it off with a kiss...

the gremlins...how i know them and how they know me...yes.
but when we can just say, "oh hello. there you are. not going to let you take over today..." we can begin to see ourselves a bit more clearly i think.

Happy happy new year honey...and guess what? I don't have a word either...and I have no clue about a word or a theme or any such thing...I just know that it is indeed a new year and that does feel fresh, and I am just going to ride that wave and see where I land.
Those damn gremlins hounded me into the ground last week, but this week, they are mere whispers because I tried not to give them much mind. he he
It will all still be there, I think.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....those gremlins of yours sound a lot like my gremlins. I wonder if they are collaborating together????
I don't have a word or a list either and I am ok with that this year..maybe I just needed to let myself off the hook and float with the flow of things. Who needs more pressure anyway?

Some words are just lazier than others, and truly, I think those may be words I like best. :) Mine showed up yesterday, confident in the fact that I would find no other, so no doubt yours is hanging about also, just waiting, recuperating from all the celebrating it did over the holidays. It will tap on your window any day now, and when you glance up to see who it is, you will recognize it immediately & invite it in for a cup of tea, scolding it for taking so long to get here.
